MAY 21 : TABOR HILL -> GALILEE - TABYEH

MAY  21st, TUES : TABOR HILL -> GALILEE ->TABYEH
After breakfast, we checked out, then visited Mount Tabor, we were taken up by Mini bus where Jesus’s transfiguration took place.  We visited the Church of Transfiguration where they had painting of Jesus with Moses and Elijah besides and Peter, John and James were looking, above the main altar.  They also had two small chaplets outside for Moses and Elijah.

From the Hill of Tabor, we went to the river of Galilee where Peters & brothers were fishing.  There is small church where Jesus bestowed Peter, the position of being Leade (First Pope) leading the Christians after him.

On the river of Galilee, we rode a replica of the Galilean fishing boat.  Our boat named Galilee Worship, rode across  Galilee where Jesus calmed the storm and walked on the water.  We had fun riding the boat.  They started raising the flag of Israel and Winnie had the honour to raise the Indian flag  and Jana Gana Mana, our National Anthem was played, and all of us standing and ending with Jai Ho.  The places we travelled around was so calm and sea had lots of fishes, which was banned for fishing.  They  played foot tapping music  – English, Hebrew, and also Hindi and automatically we were on the floor dancing away.  We enjoyed ourselves. The drive ended so soon.

We proceeded along  the Sea of Galilee and then had lunch at Peter’s Fish Restaurant, overlooking the lake.  Here our lunch was lovely big fish with rice and salad.  It was lovely meal and we all enjoyed, a big fish all for yourself….mmmmm.

We moved to River Jordon for baptism with water.  Here there was a private area in Tabyeh, where renewal of baptism taking place.  We all went to this pond blessing each other and renewing our faith.  Then Father also individually blessed and prayed on each one of us.

In the evening we checked into Hotel Plaza just for the night.  It was a beautiful hotel, but we could not enjoy is benefits. Mehnaz was always talking about hat-trick trouble.  Here the 3rddisaster happened. Mehnaz found that her luggage was left behind, though Basanti, her room partner,  had personally put into the luggage compartment.  It was uncomfortable night but found the luggage left behind in the previous hotel.  To send it across by taxi would cost $ 200, which was not worth it.  It was decided by Ravi that his other personnel would bring it directly to Mumbai.  We now had to juggle and give Mehnaz dental pack and some clothes.  Luckily we could give her some outfit and she could sleep peacefully.
